The Meadows and Woodland

At last the paths are drying out and are usable by the sure footed!  This is a great time of year to visit the Meadows with almost all of our breeding birds back and wildflowers in full bloom.  Here are some photos of the wonderful birds and wildlife spotted recently:

If there is anyone with botanical skills or knowledge able to survey the flowers this would be very helpful for our records and when we update the information boards.   In fact any and all information about flowers, insects, trees or other wildlife gratefully received.

Coronation Weekend 6th-8th May

Come and be part of our free community celebration of this historic occasion.

Saturday 6th – Live streaming of the Coronation in WI hall from 10.30am to 3pm. Refreshments available throughout. There will be a toast to our new King.

Sunday 7th – Concert Pop Inn streamed live from Windsor in WI hall 8pm-11pm. Bring friends, neighbours and your own drinks. Nibbles provided.

Monday 8th – Join in the fun! Come to the Duck Race at Ulgham Grange Ford at 1.30pm. After the duck race follow the Crown Trail starting from the War Memorial seat to the WI hall for tea and cake served from 3pm. Wear your own decorated hat or crown to win a prize!

HELP needed on Sunday April 30th to decorate the village with bunting, meet at WI hall at 10am.
